We Bought a House

 

If you don't follow me on Instagram, or Facebook, you may not know but there were lots of moving pieces to make this dream a reality. We had been looking for the better part of 2019 at ranch style homes. There were more listings for 2 story homes and a small yard than we could count but nothing for what we wanted. With D. retiring in a few years we wanted to find the perfect home for us that would be our forever home. For us that meant, sunroom, one story with (FROG- Finished room over garage) 3 car garage, larger yard. With some luck we found a new community building custom homes. So in December 2020 we placed a deposit for our perfect lot. We have one neighbor and a pond to the other side of the house. Our Neighborhood is pretty small compared to others in the area. Oh and did I mention to get what we wanted we moved states too. We were able to customize and make it ours. However if you have ever built you know that some upgrades are priced ridiculously. With that said I have already redone the kitchen. So here's a quick rundown of our home before we moved in. Stay tuned for updates as I make it mine. Room By Room

This is the entrance way and dining room.

Then here we have the Great Room and sunroom. Oh just look at that fireplace :)

A peek into the FROG these are common here in Hampton Roads since we don't have basements. This is my office space.

The before on the Kitchen: Ignore the fact that those brown cabinets do not go with the floor. The after looks so much better. Click here to see what she looks like now.

Our Master Bedroom

In here we have an attached bathroom and 2 closets so I no longer have to share with D.

Down the main hallway it leads to two bedrooms in the front of the house.

The fist one is D's office.

and the second is Q's bedroom. This was another room that was painted almost immediately. I am currently still doing some updates to his space for nerf storage. Well there she is for the most part. I am still figuring out what colors to paint these white walls. Please check back soon for updates.
